Cherry Blossom Twist

I'm back! It's been a hectic couple of months but I am sorry for the delay.
Really quick, did any one see the specials they are putting out for the Holiday's from WetN Wild?! They're even coming out with an 8 pan matte eye shadow palette exclusive to Walgreens. Go check it out!

Anyways, this is what I wanted to show you guys.

I've been wanting to do nails like this for a while.
I love things that are Asian inspired. They are so beautiful and meaningful that I wanted to do this.
I've always wanted to create this nail look with the teal background but I never had the right color I wanted until this bad boy was released in the Julie G collection at Rite Aide.

This is Mermaid's Lagoon.
It is a BEAUTIFUL color, and as soon as I seen Julie G reveal this color, I wanted it immediately. In the bottle their is a gold sheen that reflects in the light. Sadly, it does not show up on the nail unless you stand in direct sunlight and hold your nails at a certain angle. But it is still a beautiful color none the less.

This is the base coat. I feel like it ties the entire look together and makes it more...edgy and modern.
For the stem I opted for a black LA Nail Art polish.

I find that this makes the most natural looking stems. You can use a black, a brown, etc. with a nail art brush, but I just like how this one "flicks", perse. LOL. The stems do not have to be perfect. In fact, DO NOT MAKE THEM PERFECT. The more different they look, the better. (I'll insert another picture here of the nails.)

Do you notice how the branches are going in different directions? They're also different thicknesses and lengths. This is what makes the nail art look unique and realistic. Some have a lot of branches, some have only a few. So have it! But don't go over board.

For the dots (or the cherry's) I decided to use these nail implements/colors:

The LA Color polish is a red glitter polish. Lets face it, everything looks better with glitter. The other polish I used was this pastel yellow from Revlon called Sunshine Sparkle. I decided to use yellow instead of the traditional white because against the teal background, the white would look to harsh.
In this case, I found that the toothpicks were rather difficult to use to create the dots. So, I would recommend using a dried up ball point pen if you guys don't have a small dotting tool. (I only have the larger one, so it would have looked awkward if I had use it).

Create the dots on the tips of your branches. And make them random. I think adding a nice pastel pink like Essie's French Affair would spic this look up. OR colored rhinestones on the ring finger would really kick this up a notch. Apply your favorite top coat, and voila, you are done.

I hope this inspires many. I was inspired by this. It is a beautiful look. I got many compliments and I am contemplating a video on it.

Quick Update!

Hello lovelies <3
I am writing this blog post as a quick update!
I did not forget about this blog, I have just been having a lot of trouble uploading pictures and getting the perfect swatches. I also have been going through a few stressful months personally, but now that things have settled down I plan on getting caught up with swatches.

BUT-If you check out my YT channel I have still been uploading regularly.
So, as far as videos go I'll give you a sneak peak of things to do look forward to in the month of October/November:
-September Greats and Hates (Fav's video)
-Elf Lipstick swatches
-Haul Vids
-Maybelline Master Drama Swatches
-Wet N Wild Fall Nail Polish Collection
-Essie Fall Nail Polish Collection
-Few Costume Looks
-CCO Hauls
-Makeup collection/Storage

On a different note, I also plan on updating my blog more frequently with swatches and reviews. My next blog post will be Elf lip swatches, and the one after that will be a nice green/fall smokey eye look using drug store brands. It is beautiful. And then maybe a purple-orange-golden look. And a golden blue pop of color autum look. They sound funky, but the colors tie in beautifully together.
SO, look forward to a lot of tutorials uploaded to my blog, as well as swatches (for my YT vids).

Other than that,
My next video will be my skin care video. I think I've fixed my uploading problem so that my vids will start uploading at a better quality (:

YAYY
